| Adventurer
and professional photographer, Pierre Bared was born in Beirut
in 1961. He spent 15 years in France before he decided to come
back to Lebanon in 2002: homesickness...
Suddenly,
an idea crosses his mind: In order to discover his homeland why
not crossing it hiking? And there he is, alone, with his camera
and backpack delighting each moment of this long trip that started
in Kobayat in the North and ended in Marjaayoun in the South.
During 22 days, he will travel threw the rocky trails, climb the
mountains, swim in the rivers and immortalize these magic moments…
Author
of three books all about the country he loves the most: "Made
in Lebanon" that shows in photos the contemporary Lebanese
singularities together with funny comments. A wonderful idea that
reveals the way of life of the Lebanese in both its beauty and
the ugliness they try to overlook. "23 Visions" illustrates
23 Lebanese photographers each showing the country his own way.
"Sur les sentiers du Liban" written in French, relates
his adventure when he crossed Lebanon walking in Summer 2008.
